The top 99 most socially active hotel recommending cities

Starting today I will be giving a list of the 99 most socially active hotel recommending cities across social networks.  Starting with #’s 99-90.  At Funnelscope, we have gathered data on 2886 cities to show which cities are the most active in recommending hotels.   When finding out about the data I found that it wasn’t the biggest cities that were the most active.  If you see below there are 4 cities whose population is over 100,00 (San Antonio, Hollywood, Scottsdale, and Milwaukee).  The other 6 cities are relatively unknown however they are very active in travelling and reviewing.

The 99th most active city is a little well known city called San Antonio, Texas.  With 2187 reviews San Antonio Texas ranks 99 on our list of the most socially active cities for recommending hotels in the United States.  This city is a huge city that has the potential to offer people a whole lot  more.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see this city move up in the coming weeks/months of Funnelscope.

At 98 with 2197 reviews Brighton, Utah is among the top.  Regardless of how small this city is the residents in Brighton are really active in travelling to hotels and using social networks to say where they are and what they recommend.

At #97 Rothbury, Michigan rolls in with 2244 reviews. Rothbury, Michigan is a village totaling about 1 square mile and about 416 people (according to the 2010 census). This village ranks in at number 97.

Scottsdale, Arizona with 2254 reviews is our 96th most socially active city.  When coming to recommending a hotel the people of Scottsdale dial into their social networking ways.  Utilizing the internet for what it is worth.  Letting people know on Foursquare, Twitter, Facebook, etc…. Keep it up Scottsdale!

We now have #95 Hollywood, Florida and #94 Essex, Montana tied with 2285 reviews.  Our first tie of this monumental rankings list. The people in these two cities are doing great keep up the good work. It just goes to show no matter how big or how small your city is as long as you go out there and let people know what you are doing online it can be easier to see how great those hotels are.

#93 Corning, Missouri reviewed hotels 2304 times! By a raise of hands I want people to tell me how many of you knew about Corning Missouri…. I didn’t know about Corning, Missouri till I received all this data and started looking them up.  Guess how many people are in this town… 3000…nope, 1000….nope, 100…. even LOWER, there are only 21 people according to the US census bureau in Corning, Missouri.  Those people really like to review hotel sites!

Argonia, Kansas ranks in at #92 with 2322 reviews. The people here are doing a phenomenal job.  I hope they continue to do well.Argonia has a population of 500+ residents! Compared to Corning it’s huge but compared to our next city they are relatively unknown and yet they are out there travelling and reviewing!  It’s exciting to see the reviews come in.

#91 Milwaukee, Wisconsin 2387 reviews. I would just like to say congratulations to Milwaukee. They did a great job and I see them reviewing much more hotels in the future.

Topping our list today is Agawam, Massachusetts.  At 90 with 2390 reviews beats out the rest.  Milwaukee, Wisconsin was close falling 3 reviews behind but nonetheless Agawam pulled out the upset.
